The 2018 edition of SXSW officially began its takeover of Austin on Friday (3/9). While the music portion doesn't officially begin until Tuesday (3/13), SXSW Interactive, Film, and Comedy are in full swing, and with them parties that sometimes have musical guests. Recent Oscars performer St. Vincent appeared at one of those on Saturday (3/10) night for a solo acoustic performance, before Snoop Dogg took to the tables for a DJ set (that included Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'"). See pictures from the event, and watch a few video clips, below.

It all went down at "The Party," an invite-only event at Hotel Van Zandt presented by Sound Ventures, a venture capital firm founded by Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary, in partnership with Salesforce. Ashton was in the house for the party, as was SpaceX founder and Tesla co-founder Elon Musk, who is scheduled to do a Q&A at Moody Theater on Sunday (3/11). Attendance to the Q&A is limited to SXSW badge holders who also obtain tickets being distributed at the Austin Convention Center, but it's also streaming live beginning at noon Central Time. Elon also stopped by a Westworld SXSW panel to talk about space travel. Watch video of that below, as well.
