Spoon were on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night (3/8) performing the title track from their new album Hot Thoughts (out next week on Matador). You can watch that below.

In other news, Spoon have revealed the lineups for their SXSW residency which happens March 14 - 16 at The Main. Well, everything except each night's "special guest" undercard which will likely be someone big. The lineups include A Giant Dog, Deep Sea Diver, My Jerusalem, Boyfrndz, Outer Spaces, and more. Check out the full lineups below.

On actual Hot Thoughts release day (3/17), Spoon have two Austin shows in the day: 3 PM at the SXSW Radio Day Stage in the Austin Conference Center (badges only), and then they'll play Waterloo Records at 6 PM which is free and open to the public.

The Waterloo lineup on Friday is pretty stacked all around, with PWR BTTM, Allison Crutchfield & The Fizz, Diet Cig, plus record signing opportunities with Future Islands, Mastodon and more. Other bands playing at Waterloo during SXSW include Real Estate, Minus the Bear, Robyn Hitchcock, Beach Slang, Chastity Belt, Spiral Stairs, Modern English and more.

You also might want to stop by Veracruz All Natural any time in March to try the El Norteño Taco which Spoon created with the owners. Being Austin, it of course is a breakfast taco, with tortilla chips, poblano and red bell peppers, Monterey jack cheese over a hard fried egg with onions (and optional bacon). All proceeds from the El Norteño go to "American Gateways to help champion the rights and dignity of immigrants and refugees here in Austin."

Still more Spoon news: the band talk up their hometown in the latest episode of Google Play Music's City Soundtracks podcast (listen here).
