
Sonos Studio @ SXSW 2013 in pics & video

Sonos made their prescence known at SXSW this year with their own venue called "Sonos Studio", near Moonshine at 606 East 3rd Street (Red River and 3rd). The space hosted band performances, DJ sets, and lots of Sonos technology installations that guests could try out and play with. To quote the brand's own recap of the event:
deadmau5 and Kat Von D built their own functional speakers out of every day materials and played video games with fans while deadmau5 played his favorite music throughout the venue, Passion Pit, Chad Hugo, RDGLDGRN, The 1975, A-Trak, Skream, Jackmaster and Chrome Sparks performed nightly DJ sets, Jared Leto stopped by to experience the Studio, Rob Zombie held an after party for his new film The Lords of Salem, KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic broadcasted live each morning, Flula Borg hosted a luncheon, and there were top-notch performances by Erykah Badu, Surfer Blood, The Robert Glasper Experiment, Chelsea Light Moving ft. Thurston Moore, He's My Brother She's My Sister, Allah-Lahs, Cloud Nothings, French Horn Rebellion Party Ensemble, Tristen, Thomas Dybdahl, Robert DeLong, Chali 2na, Poolside, Sir Sly, Kitten, Yellow Red Sparks, WILDCAT! WILDCAT!, and Ólafur Arnalds. Additional notable attendees at Sonos Studio included Jim James, Wayne Coyne and Flaming Lips, Amanda Palmer, Zedd, Richie Hawtin, Dillon Francis, Matt & Kim, Josh Madden, Sophia Bush and Josh Baze.
