Scoot Inn has a new owner

Here's to you, hipsters.
Scoot Inn, a popular East Austin music venue at 1308 E. Fourth St., will reopen soon under new ownership.
Scoot Inn, which closed its doors two weeks ago, will be taken over Friday by Austin-based ATX Brands, founder and CEO Doug Guller told the American-Statesman.
After some repairs, Scoot Inn should be back in business by early November - in time for Austin's upcoming Formula One race, Guller said.
"We're excited because we get to keep a long-running institution going," he said. "The changes will be very subtle. We're just going to clean it up a little bit to make sure everyone's experience is a pleasant one."
