Zola Jesus last played Austin earlier this month (2/3) at The Parish. If you missed your chance to see her, another chance is coming soon.
In addition to curating their own film showcase at this year's SXSW Film, the burgeoning Brooklyn-based Sacred Bones Records is presenting their first official SXSW Music showcase at Elysium on March 14. The lineup includes Zola Jesus, The Men, Amen Dunes, Wymond Miles (of the Fresh & Onlys) , Psychic Ills, and Led Er Est.
After her SXSW gig Zola Jesus will depart the U.S. to complete the bulk of her remaining tour dates. In May you can catch Zola at the Sasquatch Music Festival in Washington.
Speaking of The Men, they will release their new album, Open Your Heart, next month (3/6), and recently released a new track from it, "Ex-Dreams," which you can stream below. Aside from their SXSW gig, the band has a few other Texas dates planned, including Houston's Warehouse Live (3/12), San Antionio's El Ten Eleven (3/13), and Dallas's Club Dada (3/18), not to mention SXSW day parties..
