BrooklynVegan 2018 official SXSW show, part of Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion
Though we've never stopped doing our free day parties (the tradition continues this year!), BrooklynVegan hasn't done an official nighttime SXSW showcase since our Against Me!/Front Bottoms/Touche Amore show at Red 7 in 2014.
In 2018, we're back! Ted Leo (10pm), Wye Oak (11pm), Bully (9pm), and Bodega (8pm) will play our show at Scoot Inn in Austin on Thursday, March 15, part of the Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion, an official SXSW event in partnership with Harley-Davidson & Sailor Jerry. It's an early show (midnight curfew). Come hang out!

The Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion, in partnership with Harley-Davidson & Sailor Jerry, is a three-day event in Austin during SXSW 2018.
The multi-day music event will feature live performances from 24 artists —both emerging and established—all reflecting the variety of music Brooklyn Bowl brings to the world. The Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion will team up some of the most influential music publishers, including Relix, BrooklynVegan, Consequence of Sound, and This Song Is Sick, to truly capture Austin’s spirit of music discovery.
In addition to the performances, High Brew Coffee & Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion have partnered to host the Roadie Lounge powered by High Brew Coffee. As part of the three-day event, the Roadie Lounge will give back to the hardworking people essential to making each show happen -the bands and their crew. Welcoming artists, stagehands, lighting operators, tour managers, instrument techs, and everyone else deemed a "Roadie,” —the Roadie Lounge will provide a much needed recharge to help power through the festival. Roadie Lounge guests will get to enjoy cold brew from High Brew Coffee, accessories from D'addario, and the opportunity to demo the latest gear from Supro, Korg, Shure, and more.
Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion partners include Harley-Davidson, Sailor Jerry, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, High Brew, D’Addario, JUUL, and Shure. The Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion and Roadie Lounge will benefit the Live Like Lovey Foundation, an organization formed to assist some of the most important people in the music industry —the crew!
As a special event at the Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion, Relix will team up with Red Roses Green Gold, the musical from MWM Live, set to the songs of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, for a party at the historic Scoot Inn Austin on Friday, March 16. In addition to sets from a variety of bands profiled in the pages of Relix, Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion will present a special celebration of the music of Jerry Garcia featuring Texas Gentlemen, Rayland Baxter, Christopher Porterfield (Field Report,) Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards,) Nicole Atkins, Billy Strings, and many others on the eve of Cats Under the Stars' 40th anniversary. This event will also feature a sneak peek at King of the Roadies, documenting the life and times of the original roadie, Ben Dorcy lll.
Brooklyn Bowl is part of the Dayglo Presents music family. Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion is in partnership with Dayglo Presents, Relix Media Group, and Hear & There. Brooklyn Bowl partners with publishers and brands all year long and across the country to curate a unique music discovery experience and culture with bands representing all genres and guests from a wide demographic. At SXSW 2018 we will fit that experience into three packed days and nights of music and culture.
