Cedar Street Courtyard became FLOODfest during SXSW, hosting most of the biggest names at this year’s fest. On Thursday (3/19) we stopped by to catch a stacked bill of Aussie charmer Courtney Barnett, Canadian noisepunks METZ, Vancouver’s much-hyped Viet Cong, Massachusetts party rocker King Tuff, and UK band The Vaccines.
Trouper that he is, Viet Cong drummer Mike Wallace played all week despite his left arm being in a sling — at this show METZ’s drummer Hayden Menzies came out during their set to help out. Pictures from that show are in this post, and continue below…
